Many people know that dogs do crazy antics just to get their owner’s attention. And when they want something, they would do everything to have it. While other dogs give puppy eyes, or bark and throw tantrums, it was a different case for the dog of Kennady Longhurst and her hubby Alex Salsberry.
Kennady and Alex are dog parents to a border collie, Sullivan (Sully for short), who loves to hang out with the couple on hikes.
They love giving Sully hugs and belly rubs and spending time with him. The pair is working, and they leave Sully behind for work during the day.
One day, Kennady went home for lunch and heard Sully making awful coughing noises. She was worried and decided to call her husband.
Sully kept coughing, but at times and out of nowhere, Sully would be fine. In an interview with BuzzFeed, Kennady said that when she began researching for ways to do CPR on dogs, Sully would be in his usual self again.
Sully’s weird cough would stop throughout the night but would return when Kennady and Alex started leaving for work.
Alex volunteered to work from home so that he could take Sully to see a vet. During their visit to the vet’s office, the results for all searched illnesses were negative. Sully was healthy!
Though everyone’s confused with Sully, the doc still gave the dog antibiotics if there’s indeed an infection. Kennady and Alex kept watching over their coughing dog until they went back to see the doctor.
The vet told them something incredulous: Sully is faking his own cough to get attention!
Kennady took to Twitter to share the hilarious events that they went through. Her post went viral with having more than 51,000 retweets and nearly 200,000 likes. Owners came forward and shared their own funny experiences with their pets too!
