Hired Plumber Unveils Shocking Discovery While Working

It is safe to say that many people experience losing a sock after doing a load of laundry. You put a pair into the washer and for some reason, only one sock comes out. It can be annoying. More often than not, you are left wearing mismatched socks tucked inside your shoes.

Where are all the socks going? Cathy Hinz and her husband have an answer to that question.

Cathy Hinz and her family manage a few properties across California. At one of their properties, the washing machine refused to work properly. It seemed like there was something stopping the washer from spinning.

Cathy’s husband is a repairman. He is mostly responsible for the upkeep of the appliances in their properties. He has been at his job for twenty-five years but nothing could’ve prepared him for what he saw under this washer’s hood.

Cathy’s husband decided to take the machine apart to have a better picture of the problem. Lo and behold, he was surprised with what he found.

After he got tired of fooling around with it, starting with the bottom panel, he found out that the machine wasn’t working properly because loose things like socks, credit cards, and coins were stuck at the bottom of the drainage.

The couple was shocked. There were socks, a credit card, even underwear. That was just what was at the bottom of the machine. After he removed the water pump that’s responsible for removing the water from the machine, he even found about $7.00 in change.

Cathy writes about the discovery on Bored Panda:

“Today, my husband got tired of fooling with one of the washing machines that was just not working properly and decided to take it apart, starting with the bottom panel. To his shock, this is what he found…”

She continues:

“Socks, underwear, a credit card… and that is just what was in the bottom of the machine. When he removed the water pump that removes the water from the machine, he found about $7.00 in change. Now, for those of you that SWEAR, your machine eats your small things, and have been told by “professionals” and others that this fable just is not true… Here is the proof!”

Cathy’s husband has never seen anything like it in all his years as a professional repairman.

Cathy exclaims that for anyone who thinks they are going crazy after losing a sock every time they do their laundry; she says the proof is in the machine!
