Least Did The Mom Know That The DNAs Of The Two Twins Would Not Match, When She Had Demanded Child Support!!

A mother from New Jersey gave birth to twins – a boy and a girl. It sounds like a regular story at first, doesn’t it?

There’s a twist! One of the twins, a baby girl, ended up attracting attention of the neighbors because of her striking resemblance to mother’s friend rather than the presumed father – which was why the couple took DNA test on a Maury Povich show.

As unbelievable as it sounds, it turned out that the male twin – Tagyen – was her husband’s, Chad Snyder’s son, but the girl – Payton – wasn’t. And while it was an uncomfortable discovery, Snyder felt like the girl’s father nevertheless.

Snyder recalls “I was the only one who could feed her at the time”. It took him a year to adjust to the discovery, but he knows nothing can be done about it and he loves his baby girl as if he’s her biological father.

The couple has divorced since and he was granted custody over their son. The New Jersey mom confessed to sleeping with two men in the same week to the court. Since Snyder was proved not to be Payton’s biological father, he doesn’t have to pay child support for her.

This occurrence is called superfecundation. It means that if a woman has two sexual intercourse in the same week and menstrual cycle, she can get impregnated by two different men.

A sperm cell has a lifespan of 10 days – while the woman’s egg can survive up to 48 hours. While it’s not a common occurrence, Dr. Keith Eddleman from Mount Sinai Hospital says it’s not that rare either.

He told to CNN that in many situations “you would never know because there is no reason to do a paternity test on twins.”
