Ashley Wadleigh recently treated her three children to a Red Robin restaurant. Together with her husband, they planned to take their kids to a skate night at the ice arena after dinner.

Ashley knew a server at the restaurant, and she asked the staff who greeted them at the door. The family was then led to an area in the restaurant, wherein the tables were close to each other.
The mom of three kids saw a couple who were sitting close to them but was astounded when the two changed seats. Ashley even noticed that the woman tried to avert her face in their direction. The couple was visibly uncomfortable. The husband was seen whispering to the server, and they were instantly given another table, far away from Ashley’s family.
While Ashley understood that there were people who wanted to eat peacefully and would prefer not to be with other kids, the couple’s behavior annoyed her. She thought they could do it discreetly.
She could not help it so she asked their waiter why the couple changed their table, and the answer was totally not what she was expecting. The waiter told her that the couple had lost their baby, and as a result, they could not stand being near kids.
Upon hearing the real reason, Ashley felt ashamed for being angry at the couple. As her way of saying sorry to the couple, she paid their bill and told the waiter to keep it a secret.
But, the couple did learn who paid their bill, and the couple approached the family. The two women hugged each other and said their thank you and goodbyes.
Ashley posted on social media about her eye-opening experience. She learned that people should not be quick to give judgment to other people as they may be fighting a battle inside them.
