This Is What Happens When You Take 10,000 Steps Per Day

I consider myself to be a highly health conscious person. I jog everyday. I eat healthy foods.

There was this one time when I visited my doctor for my daily checkup. She asked me how often I exercised. I told her that my exercise routine goes on for about three times each week. I thought she would be happy about my answer, but instead, I got a frown, which obviously meant that she expected more from me.

It was not long before she noticed the fitness tracker that was on my wrist, and asked me if I can keep up with the 10,000 steps quota each day. I said that was only able to walk about 7,000 steps a day. That made her sad. She was not the only one. I felt sad and disappointed about myself too seeing as I used to be pretty athletic back in school.

But as soon as I opened up to the adult world, then everything has started to change. I wanted. Unfortunately, the steps I took in a day only increased by a thousand.

That was the last time I attempted to get back to my original routine in College. I just gave up, but I did not give up my fitness tracker. I thought it was a good idea to know still how many steps I was making each day, and then one day I decided to give it a shot.

So, I told myself, for that particular month I was going to walk 10,000 steps each month and guess what? I succeeded.

I didn’t perfect it the first time around. I had difficulty sticking with my quota in the first weeks, but I’ve gotten used to it later on.

This may sound pretty impressive, but I did not hit 10,000 steps all throughout the 30 days. I hoped I could just add steps in the coming days, but it was not as easy as I thought.

Anyways, the whole thing was a great experience, and I would do that everyday from this day and forward. What do you think?
